OUR CLIENTS SAY

Absolutely the finest outfitter I have ever utilized. My guides, Quintin and Matt, were truly exceptional, ranking among the finest I’ve had the pleasure of hunting with. Their expertise was evident, and their knowledge of the turkey habitats was impressive. Every aspect of this outfitter was top-notch, and the staff treated us with warmth and hospitality, making us feel like family. I was accompanied by my 9-year-old son, and despite initial reservations, they accommodate our needs impeccably. My son and I successfully harvested 8 impressive gobblers. To say we encountered numerous turkeys would be a significant understatement. It’s an experience that defies description, and one that you will need to witness firsthand, as I did. I have never encountered a location as breathtakingly beautiful and picturesque as New Zealand. I highly recommend embarking on this trip.

I had a great time in New Zealand—very good hunting with plenty of shot opportunities. The people were nice, the food was great, and I’m looking forward to going back.

New Zealand to turkey hunt?

That was a common question both before and after what turned out to be an epic trip. I was fortunate enough to be in one of—if not the very first—groups to travel to the South Island of New Zealand and hunt with what is now New Zealand Turkey Adventures.

How many did you see/kill?

That’s another question that comes up a lot. The short answer?

A LOT.

We were pretty much covered in birds from start to finish, and on some days, we literally stopped hunting with birds still in front of us. I won’t brag here about the number of birds that didn’t make it, but I will say that two of them were double-bearded, and the photos speak for themselves.

I killed more in less than a week than most folks kill in five seasons at home.

Did you hunt in the mountains?

That question usually comes up when people see the photos.

Yes—and in the valleys, too. We encountered birds in some of the most beautiful mountain vistas you’ll find anywhere in the world, and also in peaceful valleys with gentle streams running nearby.

We ate well, had great accommodations, and hunted with an outfitter and guides who knew exactly where the birds were.

If you’ve ever even considered traveling to turkey hunt... if you want to see some of the most spectacular scenery in the world... if you want to be taken care of from airport pickup to drop-off after the hunt—this is for you.

Yes, there are a few online forms to fill out and a travel permit to get, but the outfitter walks you through all of it.

Is it expensive?

I get that question a lot, too. And sure—it’s not cheap. You’re flying halfway around the world for an all-inclusive hunt that covers food, drinks, rooms, guides, transportation, firearms... everything you need to make your trip enjoyable and hassle-free.

Is it affordable?

Absolutely. Every guy I traveled with had a regular job. We just decided to make a once-in-a-lifetime trip happen—and some of them have already gone back for round two.
